Description
What is Tamoxifen 20mg?
Tamoxifen 20mg tablets are used to treat and prevent breast cancer that is positive for the hormone receptor. Tamoxifen aids in slowing or halting the growth of cancer cells by preventing the effects of estrogen in breast tissue. For those who are at risk for or have already been diagnosed with breast cancer, it is a commonly recommended course of treatment.
How It Works
By attaching itself to breast cell estrogen receptors, tamoxifen stops estrogen from promoting the development of malignant cells. By reducing the size of pre-existing tumors, this anti-estrogen activity also lowers the chance of cancer developing in the other breast or reoccurring.
